The Flavel Arts Centre
Dartmouth Library is located within The Flavel, an Arts Centre in the heart of the beautiful riverside town of Dartmouth. The library offers a wide range of facilities to residents and visitors alike and the library staff are experienced and friendly, and enjoy recommending titles for visitors of all ages, as well as helping with computer use, including scanning, printing and photocopying.
The library runs several book clubs, including one for the visually impaired, as well as frequent author events that are supported by the Library Friends Group. There is also a lovely children’s section, where there are regular story and craft sessions.

As well as showing films, the Flavel auditorium is used for various live performances by creative arts companies. There are also screenings of theatrical productions from The Royal Opera House, The National Theatre and various Ballet Festivals.
The cinema screens various box office film releases in a comfortable auditorium, equipped with surround sound and also has a bar.
