About Sandridge Barton
The Sandridge Barton Estate is located on the east bank of the River Dart, just south of Stoke Gabriel.
It’s a very special place with a gorgeous landscape spreading across 450 acres, and an extensive history that has been enhanced over the years, most recently with our new vineyard and winery as well as entry into a higher tier Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
Sandridge Barton vineyard was first planted in 2008 and has 32 acres under vine. We grow various varieties including Madeleine Angevine, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Bacchus Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc.
With breath-taking views across the river and beyond, the site lies in a south-facing bowl that gently slopes towards the Dart, benefitting from the warming influence of the tidal river as well as the Devon sunshine.

Sandridge Barton offer many different types of tasting experiences, from casual self-guided tastings for those who want to taste the range of wines at their own leisure, to in-depth guided tastings and tours for those wishing to learn more about the vineyard and wine-making processes. Booking is strongly advised as slots do fill up fast.
