Dartmouth’s Visitor Centre

Delivering local knowledge and expertise to Dartmouth’s all year-round visitors.

The Dartmouth Visitor Centre provides a vital role in the town’s tourism infrastructure, delivering helpful and knowledgeable face-to-face representation of the town’s facilities and attractions.

Conveniently situated in Mayors Avenue car park, the Visitor Centre is a multi award winning organisation, delivering excellence throughout its information support services for Dartmouth’s tourism interests.

The team comprises 20 + individuals with excellent local knowledge and offer personal help with ensuring visitors receive the very best visitor experience.

The centre also provides a home to the oldest working first atmospheric steam engine in the World, invented by a local man Thomas Newcomen in 1712: the Newcomen Engine.

Our Visitor Centre team are always busy on-hand with our visitors enquiries, as well as working with the Dartmouth Harbour Authority and providing Visitor and Event Guides for all the fabulous events throughout the year.
