Visitor Safety Guidelines

Dartmouth is open to visitors and our priority is ensuring that visitors and residents alike can enjoy it safely. Our town and its surrounding areas offer plenty of room for all to enjoy safely and responsibly.

We’ve been working together so that our businesses can welcome visitors safely – ​so please look out for the ‘We’re Good to Go’ logo,​ which is a new tourism industry standard that shows businesses have met a list of COVID-ready criteria.

Our towns businesses and public facilities have removed unnecessary touchpoints, increased the availability of hand sanitiser, introduced one-way walking systems, added protective screens, and increased signage and non-contact communication.

Respect Dartmouth

Please RESPECT other visitors and maintain the recommended social distancing guidance in place and be respectful to our businesses by following any signage or staff instruction.

There are many stunning picnic areas around Dartmouth where our visitors enjoy the sunshine with their families. We ask for you to please dispose of your litter and rubbish responsibly – and if the public bins are full, please take your rubbish home with you to help keep our local environment safe and clean for other visitors. We also ask you please to not feed the seagulls.

Please park considerately in areas where the parking facilities are full to avoid any issue of fines, obstruction and disruption.

Please PROTECT others by observing the recommended social distancing, and knowing the guidelines as they may vary to the guidelines from your place of residence in different parts of the country. To ensure further safety from COVID-19, please use hand sanitiser in public shops or areas. Public toilets around Dartmouth are now open.
